The brief for this project was to examine the existing layout of the 26 person nursing home and compare it to The National Quality Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People with a view to meeting and surpassing the national standards.

 

A new bedroom wing and communal facilities wing were added to the existing building to form a private enclosed courtyard. The new bedroom wing provides ensuite facilities with balconies providing private open space.
