Set in the outskirts of a coastal town in west Clare these alpine style holiday homes were constructed in the late 1980s with a distinctive gable elevation and strong roof outline. The proposed extension follows the original form but uses glass and metal to give a contemporary design solution creating a double height open plan living and dining space with sea views
