The purpose of this feasibility study was to explore the unused open space to the south east of Thomond Park with a view to creating a fans plaza and maximising access to the existing Dug out bar. The stategy focused on a combination of elements to create a new civic space. A munster deer sculpture and flag posts will announce arrival at the plaza, whilst illuminated poles (light sticks)

at random angles will support a stretched canvass structure to cover part of the plaza. Stalls will be located under the canvas to provide a market. Whilst contrasting hard landscaping will define movement through the site.
