The house and outbuildings including stables are set out in a courtyard form with the south wing containing the principle reception rooms and master bedroom accommodation and with the north range being made up of six stables. The east range contains the kitchen, utility, garage, boiler and tack room. The west range comprises guest bedrooms, ancillary tool shed and kennels.

The style is reflective of the villa and farm architecture of the 19th century. However the architectural expression has been simplified to create a more polite domestic and contemporary expression using simple traditional materials of plaster, limestone and slate with windows fenestrated with a vertical emphasis.

This residence has achieved an A BER through sustainable design incorporating mechanical heat recovery ventilation, geothermal space heating and airtight construction (Airtightness 1.8m³/m²/hr) .
